We invite you to experience a gentler era at the Oak Park Inn and Historic Hopkins House. Nestled on two and a half acres of aged Burr Oaks and stately Jack Pines, this intimate country inn welcomes you to life in rural Western Wisconsin.
Every season provides unique experiences for the fortunate traveler who passes our way. Spring and early summer are especially beautiful, as the tulips and other spring bulbs are in full color. From mid May through the first week in June over 15,000 tulip bulbs (weather depending), and numerous lilac shrubs will scent the air. Note our tulip meter in the right margin; we will attempt to predict when the peak bloom-time will take place.
A bike ride or drive on the winding roads through nearby valleys, where Amish practice traditional lifestyles, will take you back through time to the 1800's. Recently developed audio car tours and bicycle loops are a uniquely designed series of scenic and safe loops utilizing the paved back roads. Our 24 to 36 mile loops guide visitors on adventures best experienced from the seat of a bike. Most of the bike loops have no more than three vehicles passing in an hour. Four of the northern bike loops can be accessed from the gates of Oak Park Inn. "Top of the World Tour" is featured in the 2006-2007 State of Wisconsin Biking Guide.
Three popular narrated car tours and companion maps will direct you along the ridges and valleys of Trempealeau County and this remarkable beautiful region of Western Wisconsin. Both the bike and car tour maps may be downloaded from this site.
